Following their work on the Steam Mobile app, Valve detailed their next steps at bettering their hardware. Users won’t have to wait long to see those updates, since Valve confirmed they would be coming out today. Valve also shared that the Steam Chat app would receive updates and bug fixes starting with Android, with iOS soon to follow.
Users will be able to use this information to verify or deny the access attempt directly from the Steam mobile app. When initiating the QR code sign-in the mobile app will show details about the sign-in attempt, including the approximate location of the device being used to sign in. Users can even purchase and download games and updates remotely to PC from their phones.Īs for the QR code feature, Valve stated that the new login system would be a hassle-free option for users to log into their Steam accounts without entering a password or a Steam Guard code. The app will also give users a better experience browsing the Steam store and even their Steam Library, no matter where they might be.
Players will be able to manage multiple steam accounts on the app as well as account access to devices Steam accounts were signed on to. Valve’s improved Steam mobile app offers users plenty of new features.
